Both J.D. Vance and Donald Trump plan to campaign in Michigan next week.

Vance, the Republican Vice Presidential nominee, is scheduled to hold a rally in Kent County on Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday evening, Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting in Flint.

His Flint appearance is likely to be the first public event Trump holds after an apparent assassination attempt targeted him while he golfed in Florida on Sunday.

"I'm excited to welcome President Trump and Senator Vance back to the great state of Michigan. I am thankful President Trump is safe after yet another senseless attempt on his life. If he's proved one thing it's that he'll never stop fighting for Michiganders and ensuring that our nation's best days are still ahead. In the Senate, I'll work with the Trump-Vance administration to pass the America First agenda, lower the costs for families living paycheck to paycheck, secure the southern border, and restore America's strength on the world stage."
