The Storm Prediction Center has put the Eastern Upper Peninsula tonight in a marginal tisk area for severe thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop in the Western Upper Peninsula later this evening and move quickly eastward overnight.
The line of storms are expected to hit Chippewa and Mackinac Counties just after midnight. The storms will be out of the region by daybreak.
Large hail and damaging winds are possible with any storms that develop and move through.
