MIDLAND, Mich. – MyMichigan Health is seeking partnership with organizations that share in its commitment to improving the health and wellness of the communities within the 26-counties it serves. The health system is accepting applications for its corporate giving program beginning March 1 through June 1, 2025. The online application and criteria for requesting support may be found online at www.mymichigan.org/sponsorships.

“As a non-profit organization it is our responsibility to invest back into our communities. Our corporate giving program is just one of the many ways we do that,” said Lydia Watson, M.D., president and CEO, MyMichigan Health. “In fact, in fiscal year 2025, we assisted 68 non-profit organizations, granting nearly $165,000 in community benefit dollars to support their programs and initiatives. We are honored to partner with these organizations in “Creating Healthy Communities – Together” and look forward to the opportunity to assist area organizations again this fiscal year.”

MyMichigan’s annual corporate giving program is designed to award community benefit grants and sponsorships to eligible organizations for projects that have a positive impact on health outcomes in the communities MyMichigan serves. Requests for funding will only be accepted through MyMichigan’s online application process and must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be a qualified community health benefit or health-related community awareness or strategic direction activity. A community health improvement service should meet one of the following criteria: improve access to care, enhance public/population health, advance knowledge through education and research, and relieve government of burden for health.
  2. Promotes a culture of health.
  3. Provides a direct and measurable impact on the health of the community.
  4. Must be an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization.
  5. Meets one or more of the following community benefit/building objectives:
  • Target low-income, medically underserved or special population.
  • Supplies a service that would be discontinued if the decision was made on a purely financial basis.
  • Accessible to the entire community regardless of their ability to pay. Stimulates external community partnerships.
  • Improves access to care for underserved or at-risk populations.

“While we are unable to fund all requests, we value each and every one that we receive,” continued Dr. Watson. “We look forward to partnering with organizations that share our same passion to positively impact the lives of those that live in our communities.”

Those organizations meeting the criteria and interested in applying for MyMichigan’s corporate giving program may visit www.mymichigan.org/sponsorships. Applicants will be notified of award status the week of July 7.
