Three fire departments are on the scene of a house fire this afternoon in Bruce Township, just south of Sault Ste. Marie.
The call came into 9-1-1 around 2:30 p.m. by a passerby that noticed smoke coming out of a house on 12 Mile Road between Shunk and Ridge Roads.
The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire but did arrive soon after the fire was called in.
Bruce Township, Dafter Township, and Sugar Island volunteer fire departments all responded along with Kinross EMS and Cloverland Electric.
