Cloverland community meetings to discuss cost-of-service study

Three meetings are scheduled, including one locally, which is scheduled for August 23

Cloverland Electric Cooperative invites members to attend upcoming community meetings with president and CEO, Mike Heise, to learn results of the cooperative’s recently completed cost-of-service study and its impact on Cloverland’s rates.

Heise will review recent cooperative accomplishments, explain the potential of new cooperative endeavours and inform members on the need for a rate increase. Members will have the opportunity to ask questions and express concerns.

Community meeting information:

  • District B: 6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23 - Kewadin Casino, Sault Ste. Marie
  • District A: 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24 - Little Bear East, St. Ignace
  • District C: 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25 - Comfort Inn, Manistique

Members may also join a virtual community presentation at these dates and times through Microsoft Teams. More information can be found on Cloverland.com and the cooperative’s Facebook page.

“We encourage all members to attend community meetings to learn about recent accomplishments and upcoming challenges facing our electric cooperative,” Heise states. “Democratic control is one of our cooperative principals and we welcome all feedback from our members.”
