A woman who dropped her Apple watch into an outhouse toilet Tuesday lowered herself into the WC to retrieve it and could not get out. Around 11 a.m. first responders were called to the facilities at the DNR boat launch at Dixon Lake when she could be heard yelling for assistance, a news release stated.
Conservation officers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gaylord Post, and Otsego County EMS arrived at the scene. The toilet was removed, and a strap was used to hoist the woman to safety.
Police remind all if you lose an item in an outhouse toilet, do not attempt to venture inside the containment area. Serious injury can occur.
