Corvian Community School is scheduled to host Tarboro High School on Saturday, December 21 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Two dominant backs in Cam Johnson and Kamerin McDowell-Moore are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Corvian Community Cardinals and the Tarboro Vikings will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Corvian Community comes in on 15 and Tarboro on nine.

Corvian Community is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Mountain Heritage by a score of 28-19. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Cardinals were the better team in the second half.

Corvian Community had a senior duo take command as Noah Best gained 104 total yards and two touchdowns and Johnson rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tarboro blew past Wilson Prep, posting a 59-6 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by 30 points or more this season.

Corvian Community better keep an eye on McDowell-Moore. He was instrumental in Tarboro's win, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 53 receiving yards and one touchdown. McDowell-Moore's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Caiden Everette was another key player, rushing for 55 yards and two touchdowns.

Tarboro pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Corvian Community, their record is now 15-0.
