NOTICE OF MASTER PLAN
In recent years, the Town of Halton Hills initiated a study to undertake a Stormwater Master Plan to ensure that stormwater (rain) is properly managed and planned for. The Master Plan helps the Town understand how the existing stormwater management network is functioning, identifies opportunities and vulnerabilities, and is intended to inform short and long-range planning to improve the state of the Town's stormwater infrastructure. The study results will assist in addressing issues before stormwater assets fail or are otherwise unable to fulfill their intended purposes.
The Process
This study was undertaken in accordance with the Master Plan Approach #1 planning process as outlined in the Municipal Engineer's Association "Municipal Class Environmental Assessment" (2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015) which is approved under the Environmental Assessment Act. The study satisfies the planning requirements for Schedule A and A+ project and provides the basis for future Schedule Band C projects. Results from this study are documented in the Master Plan Report now available for final public review.
An electronic copy of the Stormwater Master Plan report is available for public review on the Let's Talk Halton Hills project page, and will remain posted for public comment between February 5 and March 7, 2025.
